215. High Courts to be courts of record.
Every High Court shall be a court of record and shall have all the powers of such a court including the power to punish for contempt of itself.

Artilcle 215
If a tenant-defendant wilfully disobeys the judgment of subordinate district court then can I file a contempt of court petition at Calcutta High Court U/A 215 of the Constitution of India. Pl give your valued opinion. One ejectment execution case is going on at trial court. I intends to file a contempt petition at high court in addition to the ongoing execution suit for defendant’s wilful disobedience of subordinate court’s decree.
